Fluor
Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that Fluor Limited, its UK
operation, was selected by Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) for the
engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) of the
expansion of its high-performance adhesives manufacturing facility in
Wrexham, North Wales. Fluor booked the undisclosed value of the contract
in the company’s third quarter of 2015.
Fluor recently completed the front end engineering design (FEED) for the
new facility at Cytec’s operations site at Wrexham Industrial Park,
which also houses the company’s European headquarters for research and
development. The new facility will produce extreme-demand adhesives used
in the aerospace industry for which Cytec is a leading supplier.
“With the successful completion of the FEED, and execution experience on
other Cytec projects around the world, Fluor will implement our
integrated solutions approach for the EPCM phase of this expansion,”
said Juan
G. Hernandez, president of Fluor’s Industrial Services business.
“Our experience of managing interfaces and integrating teams, combined
with a proven UK project delivery capability and local knowledge, will
allow us to meet the fast track schedule of the project.”
The project will be executed by an integrated engineering team located
in Fluor’s offices in the U.S., India and the UK.
