Fluor Announces Cancellation of Kuwaiti Refinery Contract

IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) today announced that it has received notification from Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) to stop work on the utilities and offsites for the al-Zour refinery. Fluor has approximately 300 employees performing engineering work on the project. The remaining contract value of approximately $2.1 billion will be removed from the company’s backlog in the first quarter.
