Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) today announced that it has been awarded a
contract from Shell Nederland Chemie BV (SNC) to provide engineering and
project management services at two chemical plants in Pernis and
Moerdijk, the Netherlands. The three-year contract, for which the value
was not disclosed, includes an option for a two-year extension and was
booked in the company's first quarter.
Fluor will help SNC establish greater consistency and higher performance
levels in the execution of small capital and plant modification projects
at the two sites. The Pernis site, together with the nearby Moerdijk
site, has grown into one of the largest chemical complexes in the
Netherlands.
"This important award reinforces our commitment to strengthen our
regional project execution capabilities in Europe and allows us to apply
our proven asset optimization techniques in support of a major chemicals
production program," said Kirk Grimes, Fluor's group president of Global
Services.

identify and implement the best possible solutions for SNC's capital

International Operations & Maintenance unit within Fluor's Global
Services group.
Fluor will manage and execute the work from its local office in Bergen
op Zoom and will have small site teams located on both sites.
