Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) today announced that it has been awarded a
contract from Harvard University to provide program management services
for the design and construction of a new science building. Fluor's
contract value was not disclosed and was booked in the company's second
quarter.
Located on the Harvard University campus in Cambridge, Mass., the
Northwest Science Building will provide the university science community
with open laboratory spaces that encourage interdisciplinary research.
The innovative 510,000-square-foot facility will include a variety of
spaces, including classrooms, teaching laboratories and seminar rooms,
and will accommodate the collaborative research and teaching efforts of
scientists from many different disciplines, such as neuroscience,
bioengineering and biophysics.
Site work is currently under way, and the facility is scheduled for
substantial completion at the end of 2007.
