Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) today announced that it has been selected
by Cognis Corporation to provide plant engineering, procurement and
small capital construction services at the company's site in Cincinnati.
The three-year contract value was not disclosed and was booked during
Fluor's third quarter.
Cognis, one of the world's leading specialty chemicals companies, looks
to Fluor to optimize its plant capital program and reduce costs at its
largest facility in the United States. The site serves as the company's
North American headquarters and produces nearly 60 million pounds per
month of fatty acids, esters and surfactants.

Fluor will manage the work from its office in Cincinnati and will have
engineers and craft employees on the Cognis site.
