Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) today announced that it has been selected
by Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC (MAP) to provide services on the
upgrade of the joint venture's Robinson, Ill., refinery to meet
Environmental Protection Agency tier-II clean-fuels regulations for
gasoline. The lump sum contract value to Fluor was booked in the
company's second quarter.
This project marks the first clean gasoline post-treating unit for MAP's
Illinois Refining Division. Fluor is responsible for engineering,
procuring and installing the grass roots post-treater portion of the
project.
Construction is scheduled to commence in October, and completion is
expected in the first quarter of 2005. Fluor's offices in Aliso Viejo,
Calif., and Mexico City, Mexico, will perform the work.
