Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) today announced that it has been awarded a
contract for the new King's Hawaiian Harbor Gateway facility in Los
Angeles. Fluor's scope of services includes engineering, procurement,
facility construction, equipment installation and start-up for the
multi-million dollar bakery. The contract was booked in the second
quarter of 2002.
Since 1950, King's Hawaiian has been a family-owned business that
produces a range of specialty bakery products. Needed to accommodate the
company's growing distribution needs, the manufacturing facility will be
located on a six-acre property and will include new state-of-the-art
automated baking and packaging lines. The 148,000-square-foot building
is expected to be completed in summer 2003.

packaging expertise and ability to successfully deliver this critical

was selected was the close proximity of Fluor headquarters in Aliso
Viejo."
