November 13, 2002

Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) today announced that its Operations and Maintenance business unit has been awarded a contract to perform maintenance and small capital construction services at a petrochemicals facility in Deer Park, Texas.

The contract was awarded by BP Solvay Polyethylene North American and BP Amoco Polymers Inc., and was booked in Fluor's second quarter 2002.

"This provides great advantages to BP and BP Solvay because resources and assets can be optimized across multiple sites."

Work on this multi-year contract began last month and will be executed out of Fluor's Houston office.
