Duke/Fluor Daniel has been awarded a contract by Duke Energy North
America (DENA) to provide turnkey engineering, procurement and
construction services for the 620-megawatt Fayette Energy Facility in
Fayette County, Pa.
The facility will feature two General Electric 7 FA combustion turbine
generators, fueled by natural gas or fuel oil, operating in combined
cycle with a General Electric class D11 steam turbine/generator.
Commercial operation is scheduled for summer 2003. The value of the
contract was not disclosed.
