AMECO, the fleet outsourcing and construction support unit of Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR), today announced that it has been awarded a $50 million contract to provide fleet management services to Cable & Wireless Jamaica Limited (C&WJ).

Under the five-year contract, which was included in new awards for Fluor's second quarter, AMECO will acquire, manage and maintain C&WJ's existing 1,265-unit fleet, which includes vehicles, vans and construction equipment.

“This relationship with C&WJ is further proof of the value we bring to customers with our fleet management approach,” said Gary Bernardez, president of AMECO. “AMECO's assuming responsibility for the provision of fleet management services enables our customers to concentrate on their core business initiatives.”
