AMECO Unveils Global Branding Initiative To Support Corporate Strategy

November 3, 1999

American Equipment Company (AMECO), a unit of Fluor Global Services, today unveiled a global branding initiative -- including a redesigned logo -- to support the company's new strategic direction and strengthen AMECO's market visibility.

"Our branding effort and logo will enhance market awareness of the integrated equipment and tool services that we provide to our customers," said Gary Bernardez, vice president of Global Business Development at AMECO. "It is important to us to provide a consistent, high level of service throughout our global network and to build on the equity in the AMECO name."

AMECO, based in Greenville, serves industrial and construction clients worldwide, with a focus on integrated equipment and toll services for capital projects and outsourcing services for industrial plants.

AMECO has standardized and registered its new identity at all of its global locations, and subsidiary companies in the United States will retain their names with the addition of the tag line, "An AMECO Company." AMECO also announced its Web site (www.AMECO.com) redesign should be completed by December 1999.

The AMECO announcement follows a brand initiative recently set forth by its parent company, Fluor Corp., in September. Under the new structure, Fluor Corp. includes four distinct enterprises: Fluor Daniel, Fluor Global Services, Fluor Signature Services and A.T. Massey. AMECO is a unit of Fluor Global Services.

Fluor Corp. (NYSE:FLR), with 1998 revenues of $13.5 billion, conducts business on a global basis in the fields of engineering, procurement and construction, global services and coal production.
